Succesful renormalization of a QCD-inspired Hamiltonian

چکیده
The long standing problem of non perturbative renormalization of a gauge field theoretical Hamiltonian is addressed and explicitly carried out within an (effective) light-cone Hamiltonian approach to QCD. The procedure is in line with the conventional ideas: The Hamiltonian is first regulated by suitable cut-off functions, and subsequently renormalized by suitable counter terms to make it cut-off independent. Emphasized is the considerable freedom in the cut-off function which eventually can modify the Coulomb potential of two charges at sufficiently small distances. The approach provides new physical insight into nature of gauge theory and the potential energy of QCD and QED near the origin. The so obtained formalism is applied to physical mesons with a different flavor of quark and anti-quark. The excitation spectrum of the ρ-meson with its excellent agreement between theory and experiment is discussed as a pedagogical example. PACS. 11.10.Ef – 12.38.Aw – 12.38.Lg – 12.39.-x

Renormalization of an effective Light-Cone QCD-inspired theory for the Pion and other Mesons
The renormalization of the effective QCD-Hamiltonian theory for the quarkantiquark channel is performed in terms of a renormalized or fixed-point Hamiltonian that leads to subtracted dynamical equations. The fixed pointHamiltonian brings the renormalization conditions as well as the counterterms that render the theory finite. The approach is renormalization group invariant. The parameters of th...

متن کاملThe role of electroweak penguin and magnetic dipole QCD penguin on hadronic b Quark Decays
This research, works with the effective Hamiltonian and the quark model. Using, the decay rates of matter-antimatter of b quark was investigated. We described the effective Hamiltonian theory which was applied to the calculation of current-current (Q1,2), QCD penguin (Q3,…,6), magnetic dipole (Q8) and electroweak penguin (Q7,…,10) decay rates. The gluonic penguin structure of hadronic decays ...
متن کاملTime-Dependent Real-Space Renormalization Group Method
In this paper, using the tight-binding model, we extend the real-space renormalization group method to time-dependent Hamiltonians. We drive the time-dependent recursion relations for the renormalized tight-binding Hamiltonian by decimating selective sites of lattice iteratively. The formalism is then used for the calculation of the local density of electronic states for a one dimensional quant...
متن کاملNonperturbative Renormalization and the QCD Vacuum
We present a self consistent approach to Coulomb gauge Hamiltonian QCD which allows one to relate single gluon spectral properties to the long range behavior of the confining interaction. Nonperturbative renormalization is discussed. The numerical results are in good agreement with phenomenological and lattice forms of the static potential. Typeset using REVTEX 1
